Acupuncture is one of the oldest and fastest growing alternative therapies in the United States today. The more acupuncture is used, the better one will feel. Many practitioners of Eastern Medicine consider acupuncture to be a central part of normal health routines.
Recent studies have shown that acupuncture:
Relieves chronic and acute pain
Relieves the symptoms of chronic disease
Promotes weight loss
Speeds up the healing of injuries
Alleviates addictions and cravings
Reverses the signs of aging
Enhances the immune system
Stimulates the production of endorphins
Uses small electrical currents through the acupuncture needles to stimulate the acupuncture points on the body. This is done to enhance the alleviation of chronic pain.
A glass cup is suctioned onto the body for 10 minutes. This stimulates circulation, relieves swelling and enhances the effects of acupuncture or electroacupuncture.
Uses a Chinese herb called Mugwort Artemisia Vulgaris. This herb is used to heat up acupuncture points and can alleviate some types of chronic arthritis.
A hypodermic needle is used to inject homeopathic medicines and pharmaceutical substances into specific acupuncture points surrounding the joints and ligaments. In our clinic, we also use Ozone injected into the trigger points to reduce inflammation and stimulate the body’s natural healing processes. (See Ozone Therapy).
